The map image of the globe is damaged in one spot; a piece of the map image roughly the size of a thumb is missing. Otherwise the globe is fully functional.
In its unlit state, the vegetation-geographic map image of the DUORAMA illuminated globe gives you a view of the Earth with unprecedented plasticity. The hand-drawn, finely printed relief creates a three-dimensional impression right down to the depths of the sea. When illuminated, the political differentiation of the Earth is added in fine lines, while the topographic view is retained. The country borders blend very discreetly into the vegetation-geographic depiction with sea depths, desert landscapes and green forest areas.
