Eschenbach acunis filter glasses for light sensitivity in migraine - model XL glasses large, various tint levels.
The acunis XL frame from Eschenbach is suitable for wearing over your own prescription frame. This special anti-glare frame features a particularly deep upper frame edge and broadly set temples with side windows.
The acunis comfort lenses were developed specifically for migraine-related light sensitivity. Acute light sensitivity is a common accompanying symptom of migraine and can cause hypersensitivity to normal brightness levels (indoors and outdoors), discomfort and, due to the reduced blink rate, possibly dry, reddened eyes.
The rosé-coloured acunis filter lenses particularly reduce the transmission of the blue-green wavelength range (480 to 520 nm). This is precisely the range to which migraine sufferers react especially sensitively, or which is perceived as particularly unpleasant.
Unlike conventional sunglasses, the eyes adjust less to the darkening with the acunis filter lenses, as the reduction acts evenly across the entire visible spectrum. This means you are less dazzled when you take the glasses off.
Depending on the intended use and the strength of the glare sensitivity, the acunis filter lenses are available in tint levels of 25%, 50% and 75%. The comfort lenses are lighter or darker depending on the tint level. All versions have a relatively high colour fidelity and only slightly distort colour perception when worn.
The filter glasses can be worn indoors and outdoors. They also offer UV protection and are suitable for daytime driving in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12312-1.
