Columbus Explorer Pen Video/Audio Pen
The COLUMBUS Audio/Video PEN is a further development of the previous TING pen, which, in addition to audio files, is also able to play videos. A total of five different categories (country information, interesting facts, national anthems, knowledge quiz and videos) can be accessed.
The map illustrations of the Columbus globes have been equipped with audio/video technology since 2011, so that an OID code on the globe can be read out using the sensor at the pen tip. This code is linked to various audio or video files. When you tap the globe, the pen recognises the code and plays the matching file through the integrated speaker.
If you select the country information category, for example, you will learn the size of the country, the population figure, the population growth, the name of the capital city and much more. Under interesting facts, you receive exciting, informative and extremely rich information about country-specific features. All countries are presented in detail. The national anthems category for the individual countries is also particularly impressive. With the fourth category, the quiz all about our Earth, you can test your knowledge in a playful way. Exciting questions must be answered by simply tapping at the right spot on the globe. Take part in a fascinating knowledge expedition around our planet Earth!
